Returning to my beautiful and blessed harp! Always a lifelong learner, but, always a joy to play what has been learned. Situations of late have almost removed me from playing for a while. Oh, the ultimate joy of being able to sit at my bench and play again -- I even look forward to doing exercises.
Every year, the great Heather Downie puts out the call to join her harp collaboration for Christmas and I answered the call as I always do. I, like a few other Jewish people do join to play the beautiful music and to just simply BE among other harpers from around the world. Of course, some (most) of us don't know each other in actual person, but, well enough otherwise that being among each other still makes the entire project feel special. Being able to play alongside of some of the people whom I've known -- at least online -- over the years makes it the most special for me.
We all need something special in our lives.
Returning to the harp is just one of many other "new beginnings" I've been able to have lately, and have been happy enough to share.
